Job Description

We are currently working with an established, enthusiastic fire safety business who through growth have a need for a Fire Compartmentation/Passive Fire Surveyor to join the team. The main purpose of this role is to carry out inspections of buildings to ensure the integrity of the building is not breached and any firestopping has been carried out correctly and in line with current regulations.

This would be an ideal opportunity for someone within the construction or building services industry to take their next career step into the Fire Safety sector.

Key duties and responsibilities….

  • Conducting fire inspections and compartmentation surveys on a mixture of Social housing, student accommodation, healthcare and educational premises across London and surrounding (nationally as and when required)
  • Delivering accurate reports and surveys
  • Understanding fire strategies
  • Liaising with residents and clients whilst on-site
  • Prepared to stay away overnight 3-4 nights a week
  • Willing to learn new skills for the benefit of the business

Requirements

  • Prepared and happy to work alone/remote working
  • Experience of working in a customer facing role
  • Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of fire regulations and fire safety
  • Consultative, humble approach to your work
  • Full driver’s license
  • DBS Check required
  • CSCS Card would be advantageous
  • Be willing to stay away overnight for projects as and when required
  • Willing to travel across London and surrounding areas

Hours: Monday – Friday 07:00 – 17:00 (Flexibility required)

  • Salary between £30,000 – £35,000 per annum DOE
