Financial Reporting Accountant (12 month FTC)
Job Description
Robert Walters are delighted to have exclusively partnered with a highly commercial financial services organisation, who are looking to recruit a driven Financial Reporting Accountant on a 12 month fixed term basis.
This Financial Reporting Accountant will be a key part of the growing financial reporting team, working in a hands-on position, taking responsibility for month end processes and ensuring accuracy when reporting financial results. In addition, the successful incumbent will act as a key business partner to People Services and Costing teams, providing data analysis and commentary to enhance business performance.
Key responsibilities:
* Provide monthly analysis of the income statement and balance sheet for the Group.
* Act as a key contributor to the Group wide month end and year end close process, ensuring all financial controls and processes are in line with the Financial Reporting Framework.
* Perform month end activities including the posting of month end journals and completion of HFM schedules.
* Assist with reporting and analysis of the Group figures on a monthly and annual basis.
* Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
* Play a key role in the Annual Statutory reporting for the Group and other Group entities.
* Act as a key business partner to non-finance colleagues, providing expert advice and guidance.
* Champion continuous improvement by being the driving force of change and process automation.
Experience and qualifications:
* ACA , ACCA or CA Qualified with 1-2 years post audit experience (or equivalent).
* Excellent working knowledge of Excel and data preparation is essential.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain credibility with senior stakeholders.
* Strong understanding of relevant accounting standards and legislation.
* Proven experience of preparing IFRS financial statements.
* Driven, inquisitive and ambitious mindset, with the desire to build career within a progressive working environment.
