Salary: £60,000 per year

Financial Controller – ( Management Accountant ) A brilliant role in a 10million SME with loads of potential for someone on the up or even a ready-made experienced proactive FC – Opportunity to develop into the companies FD.

The role was previously occupied by one of the founders and a good transition will apply to the role with an excellent handover! Excellent long term progressive opportunity!
We would like a Junior FC or Senior FC with (ideally) (not critical) Construction sector experience.
A live Sept 2021 role – hoping to make a decision in Sept 2021 – 2 stage interview process.

Initially 80%-100% office based with a hybrid evolution into 50/50 home and office (flexibility)

We are looking for a Financial Controller to prepare financial statements and oversee our clients finance function. You can be on the up and very transactional with potential and ambition or able to hit the ground running! You would be reporting directly to the board.

You, the candidate:
You will need to be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with significant post qualification experience, preferably some of that experience being in the construction industry (Ideally)
You will need to have the ambition and confidence.
You will also need to be flexible enough to work within a small management team, learning new skills as required.
A team player within an SME with a strong stable history and excellent reputation!

Responsibilities within the role / position:
· Prepare budgets and forecasts in conjunction with senior managers
· Produce monthly management accounts
· Prepare monthly project costs and forecast profitability
· Monitor and control cash flow
· Manage the accounts team (currently 2 employees)
· Prepare financial statements and oversee the external audit
· Advise senior management on the financial implications of their decisions
· Oversee payroll and pensions
· Complete all government returns Requirements
· Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
· Industry experience post qualification, preferably in construction
· In-depth experience of risk analysis, budgeting and forecasting
· Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and practices
· Proficient in the use of IT packages including Office and finance software
· An analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
· Excellent communication skills
· Keen eye for detail
· Organizational and leadership skills

A dynamic role and opportunity for the right Financial Controller who must be commutable to North London with salary expectations of between £60,000and £65,000
