The Company

A leading education body with an excellent history and reputation.

They are now looking to bring an addtional person on board to help with the programmes of work.

Establish the necessary relationships with the finance team and to ensure funding sources are clearly identified and managed
Ensure the benefits management framework is established and to ensure benefits can be tracked at a portfolio, programme and project level and ultimately realised through rigorous engagement and reporting processes
Ensure that effective portfolio, programme and project financial cost controls are in place.
In conjunction with finance, establish and manage the necessary budgetary planning processes and procedures to provide a smooth transition from ‘project based funding’ to ‘business as usual funding’ transition
Provide a quality assurance role for portfolio, programme or project business cases from a financial and benefits perspective.The Role

Help the agree proposed strategy and identify benefits between key stakeholders
Help create the key plans and infrastructure
Facilitate agreement of any proposed strategy, benefits profiles, and benefits realisation plans between key Stakeholders, Programme Managers and Business Change Managers
Changes to future budgets are established and transferred
Collect and analyse portfolio, programme and project financial information
Prepare cost & benefits reports on portfolios and projects for presentation
Support programme and project managers in cost & benefits management of their programmes
Assess the impact of any benefit or risk arising from change requests or service improvements throughout any given project lifecycleThe Candidate

Excellent financial acumen
Excellent communication skills
Experience and understanding of portfolio, programme and project finance.
An understanding of Financial systems, ideally Oracle
Proven track history working in a project environment would be beneficial
Candidates with a background in Education or Public Sector would be preferred
