A privately owned, investor-backed, service business in Shropshire has a job opportunity available for a dynamic and commercial Finance Director. The Finance Director will need to be qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA and have experience working at Finance Director/ Financial Controller level for a small operation, ideally with a turnover of less than £5million.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will:

• Support the GM to maximise the business’s profitability
• Motivating and mentoring an assistant to perform to the best of their ability
• Report financial information
• Preparation and control of head office accounts
• Using Sage and Excel to intermediate/advanced level

Overview of the candidate

This is a proactive role, working in a boutique setting, alongside a part-qualified Assistant. You will be fully qualified in finance (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) and will enjoy getting involved in a broad range of responsibilities and having exposure to strategic, operational and commercial decisions for this operation. This is a great hands on FD job which will truly give you contact with the dynamics of a profit-making business.
