Job Title: Finance Analyst

Location: Outskirts of Glasgow, Scotland

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum

Work Model: Hybrid (2/3 days per week in the office)

12 Month Contract – Option for part time 3 days a week

Are you a skilled Finance Analyst looking for an exciting opportunity in the outskirts of Glasgow? We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our team with a focus on payroll-related financial analysis. Key Responsibilities:

Ensure accurate accounting of payroll-related costs into the finance systems.
Allocate costs for offshore payroll to the correct vessel.
Serve as the primary point of contact within the Payroll & Benefits team for financial-related inquiries.
Act as the principal liaison with the Finance department on payroll matters.
Responsible for the proper distribution of employment-related costs in accordance with Stena Line principles.
Reconcile all payroll-related accounts in line with Stena Line standards and established timetables.
Compile statistics and reports from payroll & people systems, serving as a key resource.
Foster knowledge sharing within the team to promote continuous improvement.
Manage Company Cars within the UK.
Act as a UK resource for the Group Compensation & Benefits team, providing data compilation, statistics, governance support, and presentations including information for year-end accounts.
Participate in projects within the area of expertise as needed.
Ensure correct administration of VAT for the Expense System.
Provide analytical commentary on payroll cost movements compared to prior months.
Assist with year-end calculation of holiday pay accrual.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Proven experience in financial analysis, preferably within a payroll or related function.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
