Salary: £39,600 – £45,600 per year
Field Service Engineer (Siemens) – South UK – Siemens S7 and ideally PCS7 – £33-38k + overtime + company car + uplift for on call
Russell James Recruitment has been instructed to find experienced Field Service Engineers for multiple UK wide Service Engineer positions. The client is a large, well established and well regarded system integrator and they’re looking for multiple Engineers for home based positions.
The successful hires will have excellent Siemens S7 experience (to fault finding level) and will ideally have some knowledge of their DCS product PCS7.
Key aspects of the positions include (experience of some, not all of the following systems is expected)
+ PLCs from Siemens S5/S7 and ideally some PCS7 experience
+ General PLC / SCADA software modification experience
+ 24/ 7- 365 rota cover – as a guide cover is expected 1 week every 4
+ Excellent problem solving and diagnostic skills
+ Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within deadlines
The positions are expected to have a wide range of involvement including but not limited to maintenance, service, installation and testing. Your software experience will enable you to fault-find and bug fix faults on existing code. The client is looking for forward thinking, adaptable Engineers looking to work for a professional, progressive organisation.
Your communications skills will need to be strong – you’re often likely to be the sole client representative onsite so experience of dealing well with high pressure customer situations is a key part of the role. These positions will suit individuals with a genuine “can do” approach who are looking for solutions rather than problems!
The client covers a wide range of sectors so this opportunity will give you a chance to test your skills across a range of businesses with a wide array of equipment.
A valid, clean UK driving licence is required.
The client will contribute into a pension scheme, provide a company car and also pay for rota cover. The role also qualifies for overtime payments. There is also an option to contribute into a discounted private healthcare scheme.
