The role

Our client, a smart managed building services company, is currently recruiting for a Field Commercial Electrician to cover the installation and commissioning of their proprietary building energy management system, intelligent lighting and smart metering solutions.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our client’s business with long term career development progression potential.

Responsibilities will include:

Installation and commissioning of Intelligent lighting, Building Energy Management Systems and Sub Metering as part of national roll outs
Manage others onsite including sub-contract labour where required
Carry out surveys on clients sites to obtain an understanding of their current electrical infrastructure (load types) and associated controls
Produce detailed schematics and drawings
Complete fault finding and repair of a range of electrical plant and equipment
Electrical inspection/testing and completion of NICEIC certification
Advise on solutions/products and apply them to customer requirements
Write Quality procedures/risk assessment/method statement
Develop role as division expands – contributing to development of new product offerings/blended solutions
Out of hours call out cover

The candidate

To be considered, you should have:

17th Edition IEE Regs qualification
5+ years’ experience as a qualified engineer in commercial / industrial electrical work, including for blue chip companies/customers preferably within the retail and/or rail sector
Relevant experience as a field installation and commissioning engineer ideally with exposure to building automation and energy saving solutions
Relevant qualifications:
NVQ Level 3
C&G Part 1 & 2 / AM1 / AM2 (or equivalent qualifications)
C&G 2391 (or 2394/5) Testing and Inspection (or ready/willing to obtain)
CSCS/JIB Skills Card
IT Literate
Full UK Driving Licence
Innovative – good problem solver
Customer focused, confident in your skills and communication
Ideally located London/South East region (willing to provide Regional/National coverage)
First Aid at Work, IPAF etc advantageous
