Remuneration: Up to £40,000 + £48,000 Bonus

The role of the Commercial Sales Manager Ceramic & Porcelain Tiles will involve:

• Field sales role selling a distributed range of ceramic and porcelain tiles
• Selling into predominantly regional house builders / private developers (some regional offices of national housebuilders) and commercial tiling contractors (house builders appoint tiling contractors to purchase stock)
• Liaising with company owners, commercial managers, sales managers not the architects or buyers
• Targeting projects within small hotels, leisure centres, public buildings etc
• Our client has fantastic national housebuilder agreements in place with the likes of Persimmons, Bellway, McCarthy & Stone etc, now looking to grow regional agreements with housebuilders and private developers
• Taking over a well established area that achieved budget last year and is currently running at circa 90% of budget YTD (strong growth against 2015 turnover)
• Responsible for approx £2m revenue
• 80% of your time managing existing relationships and existing projects, 20% new business development
• Typically going after house builders that build between 40-100 units per annum

The ideal applicant will be a Commercial Sales Manager Ceramic and Porcelain Tiles with:

• Must have sold into regional housebuilders / private developers
• Proven track record in field sales and territory management
• Must have sold an aesthetically pleasing products, such as: tiles, sanitaryware, kitchens, bathrooms, appliances etc
• Product knowledge can be taught
• Customer focussed, personable character with excellent relationship building skills
• Comfortable dealing with company owners, commercial managers and sales managers
• Must be IT literate
• Contacts within house builder / private developers and commercial tiling contractors is not essential as a database of contacts will be provided
