Fault Control Room Operator

Salary: £52,800 per year

We have a Rail Transport client who is looking to recruit a Fault Desk Attendant to work as part of a busy Fault Control Room running a major maintenance contract.

This is a permanent role and the ideal candidates will have the following:-

1. Previous maintenance asset management experience.

2. Broad knowledge of and some experience in the maintenance activities of large transport networks and their associated safety requirements.

3. Working knowledge of fault control processes and practices to enable you to prioritise actions.

4. Commercial awareness.

5. Negotiation and influencing skills required when working with external contractors and stakeholders.

6. Prioritising and decision making skills.

7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and written.

8. Experience of report compilation and records preparation.

9. Ability to use various software based asset management systems.

10. Ability to quickly understand and interpret data and metrics.

You will be required to work 12 hour shifts on an established rota that requires some late and night shifts, weekends and additional shifts.

The client is looking for people to start in July when you will be required to go through a 4 week training plan prior to starting the role.
