Job Summary

We are looking for a driven, dedicated and experienced Factory Manager to join our Factory team in Driffield!

You we be required to plan, organise and direct successful day-to-day manufacturing operations whilst ensure materials are available. Your role will be to establish working practices to increase efficiency without compromising safety or quality. You will also be responsible for ensuring health and safety compliance and risk management.

As a factory Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • To plan, monitor and analyse all labour and material usage, ensuring wastage is minimalised.
  • The management of factory supervisors, team leaders and factory teams.
  • Determine required resources and allocate these effectively.
  • Monitor factory production, output and deadlines.
  • Organise workflow, monitor programmes and risk management.
  • Attend board meetings, prepare reports and follow-up with agreed actions.
  • Resolve any ad hoc issues or queries on a daily basis.
  • Strive to reduce costs and increase productivity.

  • Strong decision-making skills and robust leadership.
  • Proactive in nature and drive for delivery, as well as strong technical knowledge.
  • Excellent time management, strong organisational skills and great attention to detail.
  • Great ability to adapt and introduce change, whilst being motivational.
  • Excellent ability to handle pressure and multi-task effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and IT literate.
