Job Summary

We are looking for a personable and dedicated Factory Operations Trainer to join our Quality team in our factory!

Working closely with the quality team, you will be responsible for training factory operatives on the technical aspects of their individual job roles via Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Safe System of Works (SSOWs), Risk assessments, and other standards as required. You will also be required to maintain individual training records and schedule a programme of training that ensures factory operatives are trained on induction, on an annual basis, and are upskilled via additional training when critical changes occur.

As a Technical Trainer your responsibilities will include:

  • To plan and maintain an innovative programme of training to include the induction of new factory operatives, annual training, revisional training, and ad-hoc training as required.
  • To create dynamic, interactive, and engaging learner-focused resources that facilitate the learning of processes and enable individuals to meet intended targets, objectives, standards, and outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate training records via relevant systems (physical and electronic).
  • To teach personnel in the use of software and technology, including the use of iPads and company software.
  • To communicate with line managers to schedule learning activities as well as book training facilities and communicate location information.
  • Differentiate resources to engage a wide range of learners and to make learning accessible and inclusive.
  • To communicate learner feedback and suggested corrective action to the technical team.

 

Key skills:

  • Strong ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships.
  • Previous work experience as a Technical Trainer.
  • Excellent ability to communicate complex information and deliver it in a way that is engaging and accessible to a range of learning styles.
  • Computer literate including the use of Microsoft Office, software, and technology.
  • Excellent ability to understand and apply feedback and utilise this to drive departments.
  • Ability to research and an aptitude for helping others.
  • Excellent organisational, time-management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical background.
