Part Time – Up to 18 hours per week

3 month temporary contract

Salary: £26,000per year

The Role

To carry out first line repairs and maintenance which are not beyond the competence of the staff concerned:- plumbing work, redecoration as appropriate, plastering work such as repairing cracked or broken plaster, making good damaged walls, fencing and boundary repairs.

Job Purpose

To contribute to the smooth running of the centre by carrying out a range of duties including security and safety of the site and related equipment, and other duties including porterage, cleaning and maintenance.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

of caretaking and/or buildings maintenance
Knowledge of First Aid
Knowledge of heating and other building systems
Ability to undertake DIY tasks
Ability to negotiate effectively to achieve best outcomes
Ability to make a distinctive contribution to the work of a team
Ability to manage own time effectively demonstrating a flexible approach
