Facade Access Engineer – Associate

The Role:
D2E is growing rapidly in London, and we are looking to appoint new talent as a Façade Access – Associate, particularly one that can bring new, fresh ideas to building facades.

Key responsibilities:
Your role will be to develop excellent façade solutions and see these through from concept to implementation. You will work directly with our clients, architects, contractors and supply chain. You will have several projects running in parallel. As well as undertaking design yourself, you will use your knowledge and experience to guide other team members. You will produce drawings, reports, specifications and correspondence as well as managing time and budget.

D2E Façade Access Associate needs to be an enthusiastic, energetic, multi-disciplinary team member. You will enjoy solving technical challenges on the most exciting architectural projects around the world.

Currently we are working on a number of projects world-wide from high quality residential schemes, terminal buildings, high-rise and low rise office buildings, and heritage schemes.

About You
We are looking for enthusiastic FA Engineer with excellent technical, and managerial skills who enjoy working collaboratively in multi-professional design teams, taking responsibility for projects from inception to completion to achieve outstanding results. You will be committed to your own professional development and looking for challenging work to develop your engineering skill.

Skills and Capabilities
• Degree qualified and chartered or equivalent professional qualification.
• Membership of Society of Facades Engineering (SFE) preferred, experienced industry background also welcome.
• Completed portfolio of medium to large scale projects.
• Breadth of experience in façade design across a range of façade types.
• Experience with new façade materials and technologies.
• Strong technical and interpersonal skills.
• Versatile skillset including knowledge of detail design, structural and building physics, testing, inspections, investigations and site experience.
• Able to inspire client confidence quickly and give strategic leadership to the façade aspects of clients’ projects.
• Commercial acumen.
• Ability to work under pressure and hit deadlines.
• Ability to motivate individuals to work collaboratively as a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
