Access Database Developer

A global leader in the Gas and Power industry are currently looking for an Access Database Developer

Our Commercial department based in Redhill have a number of MS Access 2007 Databases that require modification due to Gas industry changes.

Key Duties:

+ Evaluate existing internal MS Access 2007 databases to understand the inputs, workings and outputs of multiple existing Access databases

+ Work with the business to understand and record clear requirements

+ Propose suitable modifications and improvements to the design to ensure they accommodate the requirements of specified industry changes

+ Implement proposed changes to existing Access Database Applications or development of new as required.

+ Ensure adequate and appropriate testing is completed and validate the changes due to the new development

+ Deploy changes in a controlled manner,

+ Compile and write documentation of database development noting key features and interdependencies

+ Excellent communication skills to liaise with team members are required

Skills & Experience required:

+ MS Access 2007 – High level of technical proficiency and experience in designing in Microsoft Access 2007 (advanced level)

+ Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills are required

+ Self-motivated individual able to prioritise and adhere to deadlines.

+ Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills are vital

+ SQL coding experience is a plus.
