The fabricator welder
Reporting to the Site Manager and Workshop Foreman your daily duties will include:
- Ability to read Engineering drawing and Fabricate from drawings to tolerance
- Fabrication of appropriate units to meet customer requirements according to order forms
- The fabricator welder will be required to weld to a high standard using MIG process.
- Safe use of hand tools such as Grinders.
- Inspect work and identify and report and non-conformances
- Keep the working environment clean and to minimise waste of materials and energy
- Ability to use jigs and fixtures to standardise production tasks to ensure quality of output is consistent
- Be flexible to get involved in some of the other basic processes as and when required and be a good team player.
- To comply with all company health and safety, quality and environmental procedures and policies
The fabricator welder-
· Report any low stock items in time to the Site Team Lead
The metal fabricator-Skills & Qualifications Required
- Relevant qualification in Fabrication or Engineering. (Preferred)
- You must have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in fabrication.
- Welding experience and/or appropriate tickets an advantage but not essential
- Able to read and understand Engineering drawings
- Be willing and able to work as part of a team and individually where required.
- Mig welding skills
- Good time keeping and a positive attitude towards work.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Up to £18.78per hour
Schedule:
Fabricator welder hours of work
- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- 7.30 am to 4pm Monday to Friday
- A 4 day week is also being considered.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Braintree: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Fabrication: 4 years (preferred)
- MIG welding: 4 years (preferred)
