Fabrication General Manager

Salary: £60,000 per year

Our client are a multi award winning engineering firm who have numerous projects within the transport industry. This company is expanding year on year and are winning new projects on a regular basis.
Job Description
Lead role in the running of the production facility including the following areas.
Working alongside the production director in all aspects of the production facility.
Assisting in the management of the facility in Greater Manchester.
The role is responsible for ensuring all activities are conducted in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner and that customer requirements are met on time by providing strong leadership and delivering on key objectives
Lead and manage production teams including project managers, production engineers and fabrication managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Lead role in producing competitive tenders for both existing rail clients and the introduction of new clients and markets outside rail. Lead contractual agreements on contract award and final accounts
Liaise with clients and form strong relationships.
Produce production plans to ensure work is efficiently planned through the workshops for both internal and external resources
Work alongside the production director to produce strategy and implementation plans to maintain and grow the fabrication division.
Review, manage, liaise with quality team to ensure the company is compliant with all relevant standards. Ensuring KPIs are in place and that production targets are met for all activities of the business and that costs are managed in-line with budgets and current activity levels. As Fabrication Division Manager, you will be involved in the planning, co-ordination and control of all fabrication processes.
