Key tasks as an Estimator
* Responsible for assisting with quoting remedial works from PMV and reactive jobs, collating information from new enquiries in regard to system design and operation, specifying products and labour costs to fulfil intended design.
* Close liaison with the Client to ensure that their expectations are met, consultation with fire designers to ensure compliance and long-term performance of systems is achieved.
* Advising on relevant regulations, guidelines and industry best practice
* Completing CAD/VISIO drawings for fire alarm zone charts, as fitted drawings and other technical plans within the service levels agreed.
* Supporting the Service Desk Manager with any technical, planning or support as required
* Key customer management and product technical support
* Managing queries by telephone in line with service standard levels.
* Liaising with suppliers to obtain costs and delivery timelines
* Responsible for Estimation, including validation and follow up
What we require
* IT understanding excel, Microsoft etc.
* Knowledge of ADB and Subsequent standards
* Knowledge of BS5839-1Fire Alarm
* Knowledge of BS5839-9 Disabled Refuge
* Knowledge of BS5266 Emergency Lighting
* Working in a CAD/Design/Planning Role
* Able to work in a fast paced environment.
* Good communication skills, telephone/in person
