Salary: £39,600 – £43,200 per year

A Mechanical Engineer is sought to join this specialist Water Process Engineering company, adding their experience to the team which handling Estimating, Tendering and Proposals, Quotations and Costings to win and price new projects.

Reading through specifications for water projects, extracting the parts that your company can handle, and then replying to the customer with quotations / costs for pipework, pumps, valves, instrumentation and electrical and process control systems involved in the project, putting all of that into a proposal, talking to designers, colleagues, suppliers and the customer.

An ideal background might be from within the water, chemical or process industry where liquid flow, pipes, pumps, valves are used frequently, ability to read drawings, cost out a solution, and to talk to people. Mechanical Engineering qualifications essential.

(*There might be scope to bring a Mechanical Engineer at HNC NVQ3 HND level with less work experience and train and develop them into this role from a more junior level.)
