Estates / Facilities Supervisor

Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per year

Mon-Fri 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £42,000 – £48,000depending on experience

Temporary to Permanent contract

An Excellent opportunity has arisen to join the team at Prospect Park, Reading. You will be responsible for:

1. Supervision of all maintenance staff – (Electrical, Mechanical and Building)
2. Reactive and planned maintenance of all building services (all services)
3. Delivery of a planned preventive maintenance programme as scheduled and programmed by the Estates Operational Manager
4. Advising on effectiveness of maintenance programmes and schedules
5. Supervise and motivate craft and assistant staff to ensure standards are adhered to and performance is within contract requirements
6. Monitor overtime and call-outs
7. Monitor performance of self and team with particular reference to health and safety and take remedial action as necessary
8. Report obvious defects to building fabric and schedule repair work as necessary
9. Maintain and control stock levels to meet the needs of the service
10. Participate in the development of new processes, procedures and service requirements

It is essential that you also have IT / System skills as you will be:

• Required to use work order and reporting systems and material management requisition procedures.
• Use practical and computer based training programmes and systems.
• Understand and use building management software
• Completes all records as required by the performance management system
• Completes records of training and work tasks for multi skill duties
• Undertake and record results of audits and surveys undertaken

This would be an initially on a temporary contract that could be made permanent after 12 weeks. There is onsite parking once you receive a permit.
