Our client is a forward thinking and dynamic not for profit housing association that owns and manages 6,400 homes in the Cheshire towns of Runcorn and Widnes.

They are looking for an Estate Services Technical Manager to be an integral part of the customer service team to manage and provide a customer focused estate based cleaning and caretaking service. Supervising a team of Estate Caretakers, you will be responsible for the appearance, security and safety of the buildings and surroundings of the estate, providing an intensive housing management service.

Tasks undertaken by the Estate Caretakers will include cleaning of internal and external communal areas and conducting minor repairs and checks on communal boilers, heating, water plants, fire alarm sprinklers and entry phone systems. You will be responsible for stock control, creating and prioritising work schedules, maintaining records relating to budgets, vehicles, work undertaken, timesheets and sickness and conducting weekly site inspections to identify any issues or problems relating to grounds maintenance, cleansing, security, empty properties, vandal damage and graffiti.

The successful candidate will have proven experience of working in a management role teamed with good working knowledge of health and safety requirements, excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload. Previous experience of working in a cleaning or caretaking role is essential.
