ERP / Finance Professional Services Consultant for Sage ERP

Rare opportunity for a Professional Services Consultant / Implementation Consultant with strong finance and accounting experience to cross train to Sage ERP X3 – the leading high end mid-market ERP product from Sage. You will need to be able to commute to our client’s offices near Wokingham in Berkshire when not out on client site. The rise of Sage ERP X3 has been fantastic and the product is currently experiencing a phenomenal growth phase. In the next 10 years some ERP products will rise and some will flounder but Sage ERP X3 will be the one that continues to go from strength to strength. This means more jobs in the market, better future opportunities for you and better salaries. X3 is a high end complex ERP product for the mid-market; the solution sells for between £100k and £1 million, with typical deals being around the £500k mark.

You will get full training on the X3 product at the Sage University and will shadow a consultant before taking on your own projects.

Candidates must have full life cycle software implementation experience with good functional consulting skills and very strong knowledge of implementing finance / accounting software. An accountancy background would also be useful.

Your experience will include requirements and business processes, software customisation to meet the client’s needs, documentation, data migration, software implementation, user training and post go-live hand holding and support. You will provide finance business analysis, business process audits, software configuration and implementation, finance focused professional services and consultancy and will grow strong relationships with your clients.

A lot of your time will be spent on client site, with one or two days in the office and the occasional day working from home, so you must be happy to travel and live in reasonable commuting distance of Wokingham / Reading. You will report to the Professional Services Manager and will be passionate about providing the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Your profile:

*Full life cycle implementation of ERP and particularly accounting / finance software
*Accounting knowledge to include general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, budgets, project accounting and assets – accountancy background useful
*Strong analytical skills, good planning and time management
*A track record in delivering software implementation projects on time and to budget
*Experienced in training users at all levels
*Crystal Reporting
*Excellent client facing and communication skills
*Personable, friendly and a good team member
