Commercial Projects Sales and Estimating Professional required for one of the UK’s most respected building Supply companies, specialising in the supply of natural stone products to the UK Landscape and Construction Industries.

They are currently looking to recruit a Commercial Projects Sales and Estimating Professional with positive experience in sales and estimating to work within the busy Project Estimating Department, based at West Thurrock in Essex. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity, with good career prospects for the right candidate.

The main duties will include working closely with a small team of estimators and pro-actively ensuring that incoming enquiries are dealt with correctly, effectively and on time. You will be required to prepare tender submissions and quotations for an extensive customer base of Contractors, Landscapers, Specifiers and Councils. As well as negotiating prices and relationship building with our clients to maximise margins and secure sales.

Experience within the Natural Stone, landscape or construction industry would be useful, but not essential as they will offer full training on all products and systems. You should be able to read drawings effectively and an understanding of quantity surveying or Landscape design may also be of benefit.

The position is mainly office based but may require some travelling. The successful candidate will need to be computer literate with a high standard of numeracy, excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English are essential. The role also requires very good customer care skills and a professional telephone manner.
