A leading resource management, recycling and renewable energy company requires an Environment & Compliance Technician to join its team at a state-of-the-art waste treatment facility in the South West.

In this role you will be responsible for monitoring relevant aspects of the facility on a daily basis to ensure permits and contractual requirements are adhered to. You will be required to collect data from monitoring activities, compile reports and make recommendations to management based on information gathered. You will also lead or be involved in projects to develop and improve operational efficiencies and environmental performance.

The successful candidate will have an environmental qualification and/or work background and be confident with dealing with people at all levels as you will be liaising with various outside parties (regulators, contractors, suppliers and local residents) on a regular basis. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft packages and a full driving licence are essential. You should be an effective team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. An understanding of scientific processes and relevant waste industry legislation would be an advantage.
