The Company:
A leading food manufacturing business with multiple production facilities throughout the UK, which produces a range of food products for the global market.
The Role:
The appointed Engineering Planner will liaise with members of the Engineering, Production and Quality departments in order to identify future maintenance requirements and coordinate maintenance activities through the computerised maintenance management system (CMMS). They will review all maintenance schedules of plant and equipment and determine the frequency of inspections and issue work sheets accordingly.
The Engineering Planner will coordinate contractors and review the standard of work completed by contractors and by the company`s on site engineering team, to ensure all work has been completed correctly and meets Health & Safety policies.
The Engineering Planner will also manage the engineering stores function, ensuring adequate stock and engineering materials are available within a timely manner, and will support the Engineering Manager to identify shortfalls and potential improvement projects for correction.
The Person:
Suitable candidates will hold relevant engineering qualifications/training and should be able to demonstrate at least 12 months experience working within a Food or similar FMCG Manufacturing environment such as Pharmaceuticals, Packaging, Cosmetics, Paper or Chemical Production. They will also be competent in the use of computerised systems for maintenance management or store management.
