Working for a well known global provider of specialised energy solutions. who are also an important trader in global commodities working hard to make the best deals possible for our worldwide business and ultimately our customers. We`re looking for a talented, energy efficiency focused individual with previous experience in a target driven sales role to join our ECO (Energy Company Obligation) project.
Key Activities
At the beginning of your employment, you`ll attend two week training course. After that, from your home base ideally in the North Devon area, you`ll be based on one of our mobile energy saving hubs; specially designed vans that will be travelling around communities and generating ECO (Energy Company Obligation) leads across the UK. Your remit will include selling the benefits of energy efficiency measures and assessing customer needs through informal chats and pre-qualification questionnaires. You`ll follow these up by booking appointments and resolving queries.
Key to your role will be your interaction with customers as you provide the best in service, energy efficiency advice and expertise. Based in one of our vans, you`ll generate and fulfil leads across communities while promoting our services.
You`ll help us respond to feedback, adjusting routes where appropriate and utilising local intelligence to make recommendations. You`ll also provide ongoing advice and support to existing energy customers, including advising on and directing customer complaints to customer services, while using your growing knowledge to seek out new business opportunities. You`ll have targets which we`ll expect you to exceed. We`ll also give you the opportunity to add value with your own innovative ideas and contribution as the role evolves. There will be plenty of scope to build on your negotiation and sales skills.
Main responsibilities of role
An excellent salesperson, your impressive experience ideally includes selling the benefits of home insulation and successfully encouraging people to have a home energy assessment, however this is not essential as full training will be given prior to starting in the role. You are also a persuasive communicator – able to present data and information in an understandable and compelling way. You`ve dealt with customers face-to-face extensively and you can deal with every kind of situation that arises. You`re great at building relationships, as well as both motivating and organising others. Your own attitude and proactive approach to work enthuses others and you`re an excellent problem solver and analytic thinker. Used to delivering targets, your experience includes working with other business areas in a large organisation as well as being part of a close-knit team. Your computing skills should include MS Excel, Word and Outlook and the ability to use iPads and associated applications.
You will be completely responsible for the upkeep and day to day running of the van – everything from daily maintenance checks to driving the vehicle, keeping it clean and storing the vehicle at your home address. Flexible about your working patterns and areas of work, you`re able to work a 37 hour week during the hours of 8am-8pm weekdays. You`ll also be expected to work on Saturdays (8am to 6pm) based on business needs and this will be agreed in advance. Saturdays are when most community events take place. You`ll also be happy to travel when required including overnight stays at locations around the UK. You must have a full driving licence with no more than six points.
Essential Skills
·Previous experience of delivering to target in sales focused role.
·Effective customer service skills including listening skills, building a rapport and empathy with customers, providing solutions to their problems.
·Proven ability to build relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders.
·A full driving licence with maximum of 6 points and flexibility to undertake daily travel including some overnight stays
. Previous experience of working under minimal supervision and prioritising own workload.
