Employability / Functional Skills Tutor

Location: Maidstone/Regional Travel

We have an immediate opportunity to join of the UK’s most reputable Training Providers.

This position is available immediately and will be on a contract freelance basis.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Functional Skills/Employability Tutor for the Traineeship Sector. As an experienced Tutor, you will be paid £162 per day. This is a self employed position.

As a Traineeship Tutor will be covering Maidstone and Surrounding Area.

The Employability Tutor will be responsible for classroom based delivering/learning and this will focus around the “Traineeship Programme”.

The “Traineeship Programme” will include the following
– Initial Assessment and Enrolment
– Math and English Training
– Employability Training
– Functional Skills Testing
– Using a variety of Assessment Tools to set specific and robust plans for learners
– To complete daily marking and assessment of work towards qualifications listed on the Qualification Credit Framework(QCF)
– Supporting the learner and provide comprehensive support through their Learner Journey

The Employability/Functional Skills Tutor will require the following:

– Recognised Teaching Qualification eg PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS
– Functional Skills at Level 2 would be desirable
– Previous experience of teaching/training in a classroom environment
– Experience in delivering Employability and an understanding of Functional Skills
– Knowledge of the Traineeship/Apprenticeship programme would be highly regarded
– Own transport and flexibility to travel
