Salary: £27,600 – £33,600 per year
The Role
Due to expansion, we are seeking a Electronics Product Engineer to fill this key role delivering the company’s next generation of Sound Level Meters.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of designing microcontroller electronic circuits, analogue circuits to provide complete product solutions.
The role will be based at the head office in Hunmanby, North Yorkshire.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for complete design of new products with the assistance of Firmware and Software engineers.
• Electronic hardware design of Microcontroller circuits with typical peripherals including USB, IRDA, RAM, FLASH, ADC’s, I/O, SERIAL, COMPACT FLASH, BLUETOOTH, NFC, OLED, TFT DISPLAY’s, RTOS, Ethernet etc.
• Analogue design of audio circuits.
• Design for EMC and CE compliance.
• Generate project documentation, schematics, BOM’s, assembly drawings.
• Design PCB’s (Allegro)
• Investigate new emerging technologies and how they can be used in the latest Sound Level Meters.
• Planning and verification testing of new products.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering
• Proven experience in circuit design.
• Experience of designing battery products.
• Proven experience in PCB design.
• Experience of designing enclosures or working closely with mechanical designers.
• Proven experience of designing and delivering a product through a complete lifecycle.
The following skills are not essential but would be welcome:
• Embedded C programming experience is a major advantage.
• Mechanical design experience (2D or 3D).
• Design of DSP filtering.
