Electronic Design Engineer

Salary: £36,000 – £48,000 per year

Electronic Design Engineer skills and experience:

* A good degree or higher in electrical or electronic engineering, or significant relevant experience

* Proven hands on experience of electronic product design notably in

* DIGITAL – servo loop design and modelling, control and data acquisition systems

* ANALOGUE – low noise, high bandwidth amplifier design, closed loop design

* Demonstrate a sound level of technical knowledge with an understanding of electrical safety legislation and testing techniques

* Good analytical and practical problem solving skills to improve designs through innovation

* Embedded software development in assembler and C and great IT skills

* PCB layout design ideally using Altium

* Team player with a collaborative approach yet able to lead projects as requested

Electronic Design Engineer responsibilities:

* Design and realise cost-effective new systems, circuits and devices through to developing existing products using concurrent engineering techniques

* Develop detailed product specifications with colleagues, often including those from other parts of the global business ensuring they inter-operate with devices developed by others

* Detailing specifications and outline designs; evaluate and test theoretical designs

* Discuss and solve complex problems with team members, sub-contractors, suppliers and manufacturing departments

* Ensure product reliability and compliance are met, planning and overseeing the product development cycle
