Electrical Tendering Engineer

Salary: £34,800 – £45,600 per year

People In Power is a boutique engineering recruitment business focused exclusively on providing highly experienced people in the Power sector.

Our client is an ICP, who carries out contestable connections up to 132kv which include but are not limited to Solar and windfarm connections, BBES, gas generation, and Electric Vehicle charging points, and have completed over 350 projects equating to over 2.5gw of energy connected to the Grid. They also own and operate a number of generation projects as well as design, build and install containerized substations.

Due to an increase in contract awards and diversification our client is looking to secure a Tendering Engineer to bulster there tendering abilites.

Key duties –

• Preparing tender documentation including, but not limited to, cost summary sheets, offer letters and presentations, as well as approval documentation
• Building and maintaining estimating databases – ensuring outturn costs are captured and fed back into the system
• Submitting completed tender proposals in line with customer deadlines
• Identifying opportunities and risk during the tender process
• Providing indicative pricing support for the business development team
• Assisting in the delivery of the full transmission and distribution product portfolio for substations within the UK
• Liaising with the supply chain for pricing purposes and providing detailed feedback Taking full ownership of the projects assigned to you
• Maintaining a register of key assumptions within estimates and pricing.

Previous experience should include –

• ICP & DNO connections at LV, 11, 33kv & 132kv
• DNO new connections 
• Dig and lay cable routes
• Substation civils
• Experience in multi-utility would be advantageous
