Salary: £396 – £420 per day
This position is for a Working Electrical Supervisor, this is a mobile role covering a number of sites across Reading & Surrounding areas some nights and early starts will be required. This is a hands on position and offers a varied day to day workload.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide regional support and visit sites as directed by the central Helpdesk to carry out both electrical repairs, PPM’s and general reactive works to the properties, as well as assisting other technicians on a more detailed fit out or complex works.
The successful candidates must be highly motivated and proactive in their approach. The emphasis will be on always offering the highest level of service to the client and presenting the company in the best possible light.
The successful candidates will be expected to be part of a call out rota attending sites for emergency reactive works.
Job Responsibilities
Supervisory duties
- Supervising contractors, surveying jobs and obtaining service quotes.
- Delivering toolbox talks, organizing training and appraisals.
- Carrying out inspections/audits of electrical works carried out by in-house electricians & contractors.
- Support with introduction/implementation of new processes & procedures for works/PPMs.
- Supporting the electrical certification process, reviewing and signing off certificates.
- Support the electricians within the region, Line Management for electricians.
- Support recruitment.
Reactive Electrical System works
- General repairs of electrical systems in around sites, logging jobs and recording completed works.
- Call out for Emergency Reactive works.
- Be part of the on please apply a rota basis as first point of call for emergency works.
Experience
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems & Equipment (Buildings, Structures and the Environment) or equivalent
- Bs7671: 18th Edition
- Testing & Inspecting C&G 2391/2 or equivalent
- Experience of fault finding and Testing and Inspecting others work
- Team-working ethos
- Ability to both deliver works ‘hands on’ and to lead small teams
- Full UK driving License (Van provided)
- Unwavering positive attitude towards safety
- Flexible and committed approach
Desirably able to demonstrate knowledge in the following:
- Basic plumbing, Basic carpentry knowledge
- Construction – Knowledge of construction methods
- Health & Safety awareness
