Electrical Engineer

Salary: £240 per hour

V7 are currently recruiting an Electrician/Electrical Engineer on behalf of a market leading company providing engineering solutions to UK utilities companies!

Our client are a national company looking for Engineers in the Leicester area.

In return they are offering:

• Extra 2 hours base pay when working away
• Call out 4 weeks in the year – £240 standby pay

Ideal candidate:

• Competent, reliable and hard working

• Strong work ethic

• JIBS/ECS or equivalent qualifications
• Sound knowledge of Industrial electrical installation and maintenance.
• Basic Knowledge of Health & Safety Issues in connection with the construction industry
• Ability to record detailed and accurate repairs information relating to jobs
• Ability to prioritise workload and work in a systematic and organised manner to ensure work is completed within set timescales
• Ability to carry out site inspections and compile survey reports for quotation purposes
• Ability to carry out fault finding down to Electrical component level
• Conduct work activities in a professional manner and promote a positive image of the company

Key duties of the role include:

• Repairing electrical equipment
• Installation, commissioning, setting up and testing of mechanical/electrical equipment and controls
• Stripping and rebuilding machinery/ pumps/ heavy industrial equipment.
• Planned preventative maintenance (Industrial equipment & pumps).
• Carry out fault finding down to component level
• Working in workshops as required at any of the Company locations
• Working out on customer sites across the country
