Electrical Engineer / Electrical Maintenance Engineer

An Electrical Engineer / Electrical Maintenance Engineer is required for a national steel manufacturing company based in Walsall. Duties include providing electrical breakdown repairs and maintenance to a range of steel rolling mills and other plant/equipment. Permanent contract working days 8am – 4:30pm Mon to Fri, salary is negotiable dependent on experience.

Full duties include –

Providing breakdown maintenance and electrical repairs to steel rolling mills, presses, and other production machinery in the department
Fault finding, diagnosing the issues then repairing as required
Panel Building and rewiring
Development of existing equipment, offering continuous improvement to the maintenance schedules and procedures
Any other duties as required

Applicants MUST hold a City & Guilds Part 2 in Electrical engineering, and also hold a 17th Edition Wiring Regs. Must also hold a PAT Testing certificate. A strong background with steel rolling mills, tube mills or similar equipment is highly advantageous.

The position is a permanent contract with immediate starts for the right person.

Working hours are 8am – 4:30pm Mon to Fri, however out of hours work may be required from time to time if breakdowns occur.

Annual Salary is negotiable dependent on experience, and additional call out pay is included with the package, along with company pension scheme and other benefits.
