The Company

Established 15 years ago, the client are a rapidly expanding business that specialises in automated special purpose machinery for warehouses and distribution centres. The company has a revenue over £5m and are part of a larger group with a revenue over £700m. The client has presence in the e-commerce, industrial, packaging, automotive and logistics markets.

The Role

– As Controls Engineer you will produce an electrical design of control panels; creating schematics using AutoCAD Lite

– Electrical design of the associated PLC onto the control panel

– You will be responsible for physically building the various components of the of the control panel itself

– As Controls Engineer you are required to write the PLC code from scratch

– Oversee the Installation of the control panel onto medium scale machines

– You will be responsible for both factory acceptance and site acceptance tests (FAT & SAT)

– On-site modification as and when required

– Electrical calculations such as cable and power calculations

The Candidate

– To be successful you must be educated to at least a BTEC level in Electrical Engineering

– You are able to use an electrical design package

– Experienced in designing electrical panels or systems

– To be considered for the Controls Engineer position you must be experienced in writing PLC from scratch, Allen Bradley, Siemens, OMRON Mitsubishi or Rockwell
