Salary: £33.6 – £36 per hour

Job Title: Electric Machines Simulations and Development Engineer
Location: München, Unterföhring

For our international client development team in Munich, we are looking for a Full-time Simulation and Development Engineer.
Join the team and participate in the development of innovative mechatronics systems for electromobility in the automotive and truck industries.
The development office, located in the heart of the automotive development, has a close link to the customers, OEMs and Tiers1, developing next-generation electromobility applications, aiming to be part of the Total Net Zero-emission transition a better and more sustainable future.
The company relies on its agile, creative team to develop the first concept, theoretical studies, and self-made prototypes. Their main competencies are mechatronic development, software, motor control, electric motor, power electronic and mechanics.
The company reinforce simulations and development capabilities in electric machines.

Mission:

In collaboration with the electronic and mechanical engineers, design and optimise electric machines according to customers’ requests.
Support project acquisition through quick and reliable pre-study
Build models and tools to support efficient developments
Run some tests in our lab to compare simulations and prototypes performances
Provide ideas and concepts to serve innovation and competition
Simulations and sizing of gears and gearboxes concepts to be integrated with the electric motor and its controller.

Experience:

Excellent understanding of physics of electric machines
5 years+ experience in the field of electric machines simulations
Good knowledge of Finite Element Software (for ex: Altair Flux2D/3D, FEMM…)
System modelisation Software (Simulink, MATLAB, Mathcad…)
3D CAD system (Solid Works)
English written/spoken – must have
German written/spoken – preferred
Creative, good communication skills with internal and external partners, enthusiastic, flexible, perseverant.

Qualifications:

Electrical Engineering, Energy Conversion | master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
