This is an exciting opportunity for an Education Solicitor to join the Adults, Children and Education Team for a Local Authority in Hertfordshire.

Within this role your responsibilities will include:
o Providing legal advice to the Adults, Children and Education Team on all Education matters
o Advising schools and Academies who subscribe to the schools helpline
o Act as an Advocate for the council as required in all areas including Tribunals, courts and Panels
o Provide advice on Contractual matters and matters concerning Ordinary Residence

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
o Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with a current Practising Certificate
o At least 3 years’ experience working in the Education sector
o Local Authority experience is ideal, however the Council are willing to consider candidates with Private Practice or In House Education experience in a legal setting.
o You must have recent advocacy experience
