Ecommerce Assistant Trading Manager: Cheltenham

Salary £30,000 – £36,000

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for someone who wants to build their E-Commerce trading career with a growing, high profile, international fashion brand. Based in our clients head offices in Cheltenham, this role will report into the E-Commerce Merchandise Manager and will help with the overall management of their E-Commerce stock and site representation, ensuring that their products are available in order to maintain the profitability of their website.

The role has three direct reports, a Content Manager and two Merchandise Co-ordinators, and with the support of these staff you will support with the coordination of the company`s product imagery, pricing and stock availability that appear on the site.

This role will suit someone who is a proactive self-starter with an eye for detail and has the ability to utilise their skills and knowledge to add immediate value to the existing team.

Responsibilities:-

– Supporting the E-Commerce Merchandise Manager with ensuring all product data is on our websites at the right time including images, descriptions, product detail and prices
– Managing a team of 3: Content Manager and 2 Merchandise Co-ordinators, ensuring that company products are creatively merchandised and simple to find with correct product description
– Online sales analyse to identify and report on trends in trading performance, resulting in influencing trading decisions
– Working with the E-Commerce Merchandise Manager on monitoring stock holding and report weekly on the site cover and work collaboratively with merchandising team to plan and maintain a sufficient stock holding
– Liaise with wider business, including Buying, Marketing & PR, to help plan online activity, range launches and key themes across all channels and ensure inventory availability in advance of planned site launches, updates, marketing campaigns and promotional activity
– Researching and reviewing online competitors and report back any relevant trading information
– Build rapport and communication channel with external agencies we work with
– To deputize for the Ecommerce Merchandise Manager when required

Skills/Requirements:-

– Have substantial Ecommerce trading experience with an analytical or merchandising background
– Possess a degree level education or equivalent experience
– Previous line management experience
– Able to work in a fast paced environment and able to cope with multiple tasks maintaining high level of accuracy at all times
– Excellent communication skills to allow you to articulate recommendations and present information to all levels of the business
– Have the ability to develop and maintain senior level relationships and provide direction and influence at that level
– Possess strong analytical capabilities, good commercial instinct and excellent organizational skills
– Be IT literate, with good Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills, and an aptitude to become quickly familiar with new systems
– Interest in retail & fashion:a visual eye is a strong advantage
