The D&I Manager helps us to achieve our vision by leading ED&I projects and change management activities and providing expert advice to Leadership Teams, Diversity Networks and stakeholders across NHS Blood and Transplant.
We require someone with a good understanding of Diversity & Inclusion, LGBTQ+ and Ethnic Communities, ED&I Policy, Workforce and Wellbeing. You’ll lead all things ED&I with energy and a passion to influence others, work collaboratively, with skills to engage all stakeholders inside and outside of NHS Blood and Transplant at all levels.
Working with the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer, Chair, Vice Chair and members of Equality and Diversity and LGBTQ+ Working Group and the BAME Network Chair, alongside the wider strategy and communication directorate, this is an opportunity for you to make a difference to supporting NHSBT with its strategic aim of increasing diversity in the workforce and supporting service delivery to meet the needs of diverse communities (with a particular focus on LGBTQ+ inclusion as well as other protected groups under the Equality Act).
The postholder will take national responsibility for ensuring best practice approach to diversity and inclusion, taking a proactive approach to anticipated changes in employment law and other legislation and human resource practice, make plans accordingly and propose a variety of solutions and options.
Applicants should possess the ability to build networks with others, good influencing skills, report writing ability, analytical data skills, a strong understanding of the diversity agenda and a working knowledge of diversity legislation.
