Head of Diversity & Inclusion – Retail and Hospitality
Location: London (Hybrid working)
Salary: £90,000 – £108,000+ benefits

The role:
To develop and implement a D&I framework that shapes the culture and climate and:
Underpins our values and strategy
Supports growth in workforce diversity and inclusion
Empowers leaders to be caring, fair and consistent in how they show up for their teams
Develop a road map for the best use of informal D&I structures and making recommendations to leadership
Develop and manage platform transparency and best practice sharing among networks
Alert leadership of trends/risks rising from networks
Co-creation of experiential learning opportunities for network members
Co-creation of agenda/events associated with the subject (i.e., councils, task forces, round tables)
Partner with stakeholders (Management Audit, Legal, HR counterparts) to ensure the protection of sensitive data/insights
Develop metrics/dashboards that allow better transparency of company performance and progress
Ensure business segments have access to the right analytics and insights at the right time
Establish and manage platform for sharing best inclusion practices for inclusive environments globally
Partner with Communications to articulate stories of innovation, business agility and inclusive leadership
Provide strong input into employer branding efforts to retain the best talent that reflects our market
Establish methodology for increasing D&I visibility and impact locally and globally
Co-develop content for experiential learning opportunities for leaders, focusing on inclusion
Establish platform to accelerate the development of diverse leaders through their roles
Support Senior Leadership on the operationalising of top management accountability efforts
Provide support/insights to HR counterparts on inclusive policy development
Oversee the execution of safe spaces for employees and productive conversations around inclusion
Serve as trusted counsel to business leaders on D&I matters
Ensure global perspective is embedded in all efforts
The person:
Degree educated, or equivalent
Highly relevant experience in Diversity & Inclusion and Human Resources (e.g., employee relations, HR business partner, learning & development, organisation development) or related professional experience Leads with the business in mind; thinks and acts strategically
D&I experience gained in multi-site retail or hospitality
Ability to demonstrate presence and credibility with internal and partner stakeholders at senior levels through excellent communication and influencing skills both verbal and written
Strong knowledge of employment legislation and the diversity & inclusion agenda
Ability to analyse complex data and to present findings
Strategic thinking
Project and programme management skills
Sensitive people skills: a high level of emotional intelligence and wide understanding of people issues
Generalist knowledge of HR and the range of activities in the employee lifecycle
Ability to understand Company strategy, operational requirements and the external employment agenda to shape and deliver appropriate solutions that are easy and simple to understand
Knowledge and application of employment law
Knowledge of ER procedures and processes and diversity and equal opportunities (CIPD qualification desirable)
Ability to recognise boundaries of own expertise to act in an empowered way but seek guidance when appropriate
Commercially aware, able to prioritise and plan with the ability to make sound judgments about issues that may have an adverse effect on the business from an ER/ risk perspective
Demonstrable ability to work collaboratively work across the business

Experienced in leading the integration of multiple data sources (including primary and secondary research, social media) into clear, actionable insights and stories
