Distribution Coordinator

Salary: £26,000 per year

Direct Response Employment Services are delighted to be support our national client in the recruitment of a Distribution coordinator to join the team initially on a temporary basis with a possibility of leading to a permanent position.

This is a key role where you will focus on providing a professional distribution service to customers but taking orders and negotiating them into a planning schedule that accounts for the customer needs, cost effective and utilization of fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

* Build and Maintain solid working relationships with customers, team members, hauliers and internal teams.

* Take order information and accurately input this into the relevant system.

* Providing customer service support and respond positively to customer requirements.

* Schedule and ensure timely delivery of orders with customers, optimizing effective truck utilization whilst making sound and cost effective decisions.

* Assist the transport manager with day to day management of drivers.

* Maintain real time progress of scheduled orders allowing you to identify potential problems and resolve them.

Ideally you will have previous experience of working within a similar role with transport, shipping or distribution and be a team player who is organized with excellent attention to detail and problem solver.

This role is working Monday to Friday but will involve working 1 Saturday every 6 weeks.
