Distribution Clerk

Central Employment are looking to recruit an Distribution Clerk to work for one of our clients. The candidate is responsible for sales order processing and stock control working with fellow team members to produce high accuracy work in a fast paced environment. Candidate must have picker/Packer experience also.

Major Responsibilities
• Pick products from multiple areas in a quick efficient manner.
• Follow the principles of one piece flow and support other peers and seniors to minimise picking and packing times within warehouse area.
• Preparation and orders to a high quality standard to ensure right first time is achieved within area.
• Use of web-based software to prepare and processes orders for dispatch in a high volume high quality environment.
• Working to a high standard following quality procedures and WI instructions.
• Maintain a high quality of stock control within the warehouse area with regular cycle’s checks.
• Receipt incoming stock from the Production area to provide same day delivery and able to place stock away into cold rooms in FIFO orientation.
• Follow the concept of Kanban’s within the working cell and keep area to highest quality standard.

Required Skills/Experience
• Experience working in high output distribution area desirable.
• Proven track record of working within a distribution/ manufacturing regulated industry.
• Knowledge of LEAN methodologies is desirable.
