DevOps Engineer – AWS – UK Fully Remote

Salary: £72,000 per year

I’m working with a new e-learning platform in the Brighton area to help find a new AWS DevOps Engineer experienced with Databases, Terraform, Python to work closely alongside the CTO and Senior DevOps Engineer to automate, support and improve their Platform ensuring uptime and full security is upheld.

The business have been growing since 2013 to have over 20m+ learners, become a global entity and are working with some huge household names including Tesco, National Trust, Open University and Johnson & Johnson. They’ve done all his while becoming a Small Businesses Best Workplace 2020 and maintain a ‘People First’ work culture which offers fully UK based remote working.

The role will be responsible for:

Database maintenance via MySQL and DynamoDB
Ensuring a ‘5 9’s’ approach for the uptime of the Platform 
Ensure full Secure and Scalable Platform integration
Take part in Disaster Recovery sessions
Configure development, testing, and production environments using IaC
Continue the improvement of automation of deployment and monitoring

What tech do you need to be successful?

AWS
CI/CD (ideally Jenkins) 
DynamoDB or MySQL
Python and/or Node
