Timber frame is an industry that is going from strength to strength and we are working with a well established company who prides itself on working differently from its competitors. This is a great opportunity to join a company who is proud of their differences and like to show you how.
They are looking for a Designer / Technician who will be designing timber frames, roof trusses and floor joists using specialist software which links to the manufacturing process. You will be working closely with senior management and other Designers in the team, and if necessary, be given training by the software supplier.
About you:
:: We are ideally seeking an experienced Designer of Timber Frame, Roof Trusses and/or Floor Joists who has used the relevant software eg Consultec, Mitek, GangNail, Alpine etc.
:: If you don’t have any knowledge of timber frame or timber engineering this is not necessarily a disadvantage as they would consider someone with experience as an Architectural Technician who can clearly demonstrate expertise in construction design
:: You need to be able to demonstrate your flexible approach, and your ability to adapt to learn new and different ways of doing things
