Design or CAD Engineer

Salary: £32,400 – £42,000 per year

Housing Developer urgently require a Design OR CAD Engineer to join their busy development team.

Reporting to and assisting the Infrastructure and Engineering Manager the role is to prepare CAD drawings of road and sewer design on a large housing estate and arrange topographical and soil surveys, coordinate utility designs, check consultants drawings and document control.

Responsibilities for the role will include:

* Assist and coordinate soil investigations, topographical, drainage, traffic surveys

* AutoCAD drawing work working alongside Land & Planning team

* Coordinating and checking consultant drawings and value engineering designs

* Document control

* Assist in road and sewer adaptions by checking designs and site inspections

* Attend internal and external meetings

* Coordinating and drafting as build drawings

* Coordination of Construction & Environmental Management Plans, Pre-Construction Information Packs, H&S Packs

To be considered you must have a working knowledge of AutoCAD and other Microsoft packages. Road & sewer design experience will also be an advantage and it is imperative you have Civil & Residential infrastructure design experience.

This is a an excellent role for either a strong graduate who has the correct degree and experience or an Assistant Level who will have already been through a graduate scheme or have related experience. This role will develop into a management role depending on performance where eventually it will be management of all consultants and assessing the contractors infrastructure work on site.
