Design Manager

DESIGN MANAGER – £55-£65000 Basic – MAIN CONTRACTOR – SURREY/SUSSEX

My client are looking to recruit a permanent Design Manager to join their highly respected and long established business to cover Surrey/Sussex

With a number of schemes in the pipeline, you will work with the pre construction team and manage the design phase of large £mm projects, both pre construction (tender stage / procurement purposes) and during the construction phase. As a Design Manager you will be responsible for both, client and consultancy liaison, identifying and managing design solutions or specifications, creating and reporting design progress reports along with ensuring drawings and specifications conform both internally and externally, whilst managing the design budget and ensuing costs are adhered too.

As a key member, you will have:

A proven track record of working for a main contractor
Have good recent Pre Construction knowledge and experience
Major project experience including Education / Schools and Commercial
Good working knowledge of planning and building regulations, along with architectural and engineering methods
Be able to work independently and keep up to date with modern methods of construction.
