Our client is a well-established Main Contractor working throughout the North West on new build commercial, industrial, residential and extra care projects for their clients. They are looking for a Design Coordinator to join their growing team.

The role and duties of the Design Coordinator

Reporting to the Design Manager, you will develop and manage project design and technical information from inception through to completion, as well as this your main duties will include:

• Continuously engage with the project teams to provide support and promote compliance.
• Managing individual schemes with the specific goal of co-ordinating all technical information between external consultants and internal departments
• Working closely with site, commercial and estimating teams from planning through to handover
• Liaise closely with clients and sub-contractors
• Manage any relevant trackers to cover the full build process
• Assist in tracking the design development process using RFI protocols
• Assist with the development of sub-contractors and suppliers design/ specifications ensuring that full ER and statutory compliance is met
• Assist with the co-ordination of drawings and checking they comply with the ER’s and standards
• Assist in the production and collation of O&M manuals

This role is suitable for an independent individual with a proactive approach and a track record of success in a Design Coordinator role, as well as that you will have experience of:

• A background in design coordination or architectural technology
• Experience of related construction and quality management experience
• Educated to HNC or higher with relevant engineering, architecture or Construction
