Deputy Manager – Nurse

Our client is a well respected care provider that operates approximately 200 luxury standard care homes across the U.K. They are presently recruiting for a Deputy Manager (Nurse) to take lead at one of their smaller 55 bedded facilities based on the Isle of Wight.

The home caters for every individual with a person-centred approach, from those with long-term needs to those requiring palliative care. They employ a team of dedicated registered nurses who are supported by an experienced team of well trained care assistants and support staff.

As the Deputy Manager you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership to the Nurses and support staff. You will be a role model and mentor to any newly qualified Nurses that join the home and provide the Home Manager with strong support with the day-to-day running of the business, and to ensure the whole facility operates effectively whilst delivering the very best quality care. The ideal candidate must be nurse qualified and hold an active NMC pin.

Although, our client would be keen to offer this role to an experienced Deputy Manager they are also passionate about offering `first time` opportunities to any well experienced Nurses who are ready to take the next step up to Deputy level. If you possess strong managerial and leadership skills and are confident in your abilities to lead a multi-disciplinary team then we welcome your application.

The ideal Deputy Manager candidate for this position must:

– Hold a Nurse Qualification together with an active registration with NMC;
– Be driven and motivated to provide excellent levels of care and to lead a team;
– Possess strong leadership qualities;
– Have good knowledge of CQC standards;
– The ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with external care professionals, families and visitors;
– Promote ownership of care programmes by fully involving service users and their families in developing, agreeing and evaluating care programmes within the home;
– Eligibility to work within the U.K.
