DEPUTY MANAGER (NURSE)

I am working with a fantastic company who are a leading provider of specialist neurological care and neuro rehabilitation for people with progressive or acquired neurological conditions.
They are currently looking for a Deputy Manager for their beautiful purpose-built unit in Peterborough and need a Registered Nurse who has the ability be to deliver excellence in the strategic and day to day operational management of a unit. You will be responsible for the 24/7 provision of all care services for residents on the units, ensuring they meet the standards and requirements of the company and to provide leadership in all aspects of care according to the codes of the NMC and clinical governance, within areas of your responsibility.
Duties will include:
- Line management responsibility for Clinical Nurse Lead and oversight of all supervision and management of staff within areas of responsibility
- Taking the lead in areas of responsibility for financial forecasting and reporting, ensuring that the service remains within its financial limits
- Responsibility for the staffing and recruitment to agreed levels
- Ensuring that Residents, Staff, Unit(s) and Company remain safe and the staff remain caring and responsive
- Having oversight of action plans in regard to Human Resource updates such as sickness absence, agency usage, and staff performance issues
For this role you must have:
- A Registered Nurse qualification with at least 4 years’ experience of managing a similar service
- NMC registration
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of supervising a staff team
- An understanding of specialist neurological care environments
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
