Deputy Manager

Salary: £44,400 – £45,600 per year

We are looking for an enthusiastic, empathetic and committed Deputy Manager who can lead and motivate. The Deputy Manager will be work closely with the Care Manager in a semi rural location on the outskirts of Basignstoke. The purpose built home has beautiful surroundings and rooms. The residents take part in activities & outings and benefit from freshly homemade food. The warm, friendly team, that you will be part of, are trained, qualified and experienced in caring for all areas of retirement needs. This a great opportunity for someone to with experience in a Deputy Manager’s role

Skills for the Deputy Manager role:

• An understanding of their role, its pressures and how to ensure you are getting the best out of a team through mentoring and ongoing support.
• Build trusting, positive relationships with colleagues, management and service users as well as external healthcare professionals and bodies.
• Both hands on care experience and relevant office experience in a care setting, for example previously worked on care plans, carried out supervisions and organised Rota’s.

Requirements of the Deputy Managers role:

• Experience of working as a Deputy Manager in a care home environment.
• Confident working with residents, a solid understanding of care plans and how these are implemented.
• Must have a full and clean current DBS.
• Looking for a long-term role in care management.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good planning and organisational skills.
• Sound understanding of good care principles.
• Skills in assessment and care planning.
• Ability to cope with pressure.
• Ability to display empathy and warmth.
