Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year

The role of the Deputy Manager is to assist the Registered Manager with all aspects of the residential care home for adults suffering from mental health. The Deputy Manager holds everyday responsibility of maintaining and monitoring the high-quality care of the residents they care for.

The deputy care manager will undertake care assessment of people needing care and support as well as working closely with healthcare professionals and others. Working alongside the Registered Manager to recruit and develop new support workers, supporting, supervising and performance managing them

As newly appointed Deputy Manager (could be you) will be supporting the Registered Operations Manager in the daily management & running of the residential care home. Managing, delivering high quality care as part of our team, delivering person centered care. Ensuring that individual needs of the service users is met and using your experience/skills to enhance their quality of life. To actively assist, maintain and promote Coverage care values. You will need a successful track record of managing safeguarding investigations & strong knowledge of risk assessing. You will be responsible for management of staff to include 1.1s, appraisals, & disciplinaries.

Making sure the service is always exceeding CQC standards

Your role might include:

  • Supporting your manager ensuring standards of care are maintained.
  • Ensuring that the service user care plans, staffing levels all complies with legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Undertake assessments of people that are needing care and support, working with health care professionals and others.
  • Help the service to recruit & develop new support workers.
  • Supervising and performance managing staff

  • We would recommend you have completed Level 2 and Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification
