Delivery Manager – Web and on-Line Projects

This is an exciting career opportunity to join an international ‘blue chip’ company involved in a major transformation and change programme. They require an experienced Delivery Manager who has worked in a Travel or Retail business to deliver a major project in the on-Line and Digital arena, delivering in store systems and integrating with a main third party system. A further requirement is to deliver a Programme Change project.

Key skills and experience required:

• Experience working with Agile Projects
o Ideally experienced in introducing Agile into an organisation
• Ability to engage with Senior Stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple, complex, interdependent streams of work
• Ability to co-ordinate and plan in advance for risk mitigation
o Plans will be complex with major interdependencies
• Proactive approach to the management of change
o Ability to see where change will impact the project
o Engage with appropriate resources to drive through impact analysis
o Robust re-planning when change occurs
• Foster an open and energetic approach within the team
• Work closely with development/delivery managers to understand development/sprint progress and also the cost position
• Experience of On-Line and Digital technology, Web and E-Commerce
• Previous experience gained in software development
• Supplier/3rd party management experience

In addition a proactive, energetic and positive personality is required as there will be constant contact with key stakeholders and interaction across the business. Strong planning skills, risk assessment and financial acumen are also prerequisites. This is not a technical PM role, but a business/stakeholder focused appointment, with the ability to talk technical with software development teams.
